Tragedy as Jaguar driver dies a week after crash with Audi

A man has died a week after crashing his car in Brighouse.

The crash happened on Tuesday, May 8, at 9.15pm and involved a blue Jaguar XF and a red Audi TT at the junction of Wakefield Road and Coal Pit Lane. The driver of the Jaguar, an 84-year-old man, was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries but died on Wednesday, 15 May.

West Yorkshire Police are investigating and are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

In a statement, a spokesman for the force said: "Officers from the Major Collision Enquiry Team are appealing for witnesses and are keen to hear from anyone with dashcam who travelled between Lidl on Wakefield Road to the junction with Coal Pit Lane or anyone who may have been travelling on Coal Pit Lane in the direction of Wakefield Road shortly before 9.15pm."
