Transfer News - LIVE!

Now we’re into the dying embers of December, the proverbial transfer rumour mill is hotting up.

Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick has admitted Anthony Martial has asked to leave the club while Barcelona are expected to complete the signing of Manchester City forward Ferran Torres imminently.

Elsewhere, the futures of both Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe might not be sorted out until the summer, though it seems reasonable to expect updates on both given how likely they are to change clubs in the coming months. Man United, meanwhile, are thought to have targeted Ruben Neves

For his part, Haaland isn’t believed to fancy a move to the Premier League at this stage of his career.

Ousmane Dembele, meanwhile, posted a late-night message of the Barcelona crest on Instagram, which could perhaps indicate where his future lies amid his links with a sensational January move to money-bags Newcastle United

Over at Arsenal, there is a distinct possibility Alexandre Lacazette could leave the club this summer in pursuit of a longer contract.

07:02 , Jonathan GorrieSpeaking ahead of Man United’s return to Premier League action on Monday night, Ralf Rangnick has confirmed Anthony Martial has asked to leave the club. “We spoke on Wednesday, we spoke at length,” Rangnick told British media. “He explained to me he’s been at United for seven years and he feels it’s the right time for a change, to go somewhere else.“In a way this is understandable, I could follow his thoughts but on the other hand, it’s also important to see the situation of the club. We have COVID times, we have three competitions in which we still have high ambitions.“I told him as long as there’s no club showing interest in him, and it shouldn’t only be in the interest of the player it should also be in the interest of the club.
