It’s good news for British travellers: data from KAYAK, the world’s leading travel search engine, shows that flight prices from the UK are currently stable or decreasing across the globe for summer 2024, so wherever you're thinking of heading, chances are you'll snag a deal to get you there.

For those looking for inspiration for their next summer getaway, KAYAK has revealed its best value destinations for 2024.

Save in Southern Europe

If you’re looking to make some smart savings on your summer holiday, head to Southern Europe. Analysing data on average flight and hotel prices, KAYAK’s crunched the numbers to reveal the 10 best-value holiday destinations for Brits this year, with Spanish and Italian destinations topping the list. Sunny Madrid comes in first place, with an average trip cost of £859, followed by Italy’s fashion capital Milan, at £881.

An easyJet flight to Tenerife had to make a sudden U-turn and return to Gatwick due to a "technical issue". The captain of flight EZY8033, which left the London airport at 7.26am and was due to arrive in Tenerife at 11.50am, decided to return to Gatwick "as a precaution", easyJet said.
