'Trigger Point' viewers are calling for Line Of Duty's AC-12 to solve the bomber mystery
Trigger Point's viewers have been calling for Line Of Duty's AC-12 to take over the mystery bomber investigation after the explosives appeared to have been planted by an insider.
ITV's police thriller starring Vicky McClure as a bomb disposal EXPO has drawn plenty of comparisons to her BBC police procedural hit Line Of Duty, written by Jed Mercurio who is an executive producer on Trigger Point.
And it looks like the comparisons aren't going to end any time soon as episode three's twist had viewers wondering whether McClure's Line Of Duty alter ego Kate Fleming was going to reveal that she was working undercover and call in her police corruption investigation team AC-12.
When Sunday night's episode appeared to suggest that the bomber could be an insider, one person tweeted: "Hmmm... There's a bent copper. Think they need to call AC-12."

Someone else added: "'It’s got to be an inside man’ defo time for AC-12 to take over this investigation."
Another viewer wrote: "The only way I can carry on watching #triggerpoint is if Lana is really Kate undercover and calls in Arnott and Hastings to find the inside man!"
Viewers made reference to the famous corrupt officer H whose identity was the main mystery in Line Of Duty.
One person tweeted: "Jesus Mary and a wee donkey *H* is back - it’s another inside job @Vicky_McClure #TriggerPoint …. Tense though, great viewing."

Another viewer added: "Karl is H, sorry, the bomber."
Someone else commented: "I've worked out who they're looking for in Trigger Point. It's H."
Fans of the ITV show have begun to suggest that the main suspects are McClure's character Lana's disaffected brother Billy, or new friend Karl who missed out on becoming an EXPO.
One fan tweeted: "I believe billy is involved and I don’t trust Karl, he’s a ex army engineer and was jealous of nutkins."
Someone else wrote: "Anyone else thinking it may be Karl planting the bombs?"
Another viewer commented: "Billy is definitely dodgy," while someone else agreed: "Karl, tom, and Billy, all in on it."
