20. Uber Licence

The app-based taxi firm has been involved in a number of controversies over the past year, leading to the resignation of CEO Travis Kalanick in June. The company was further hit when TFL opted not to renew its cab licence in London in September – a decision which received a mixed reaction to say the least. Naturally, Uber has lodged an appeal, which could well play out over a number of years. Following the licence snub, it then emerged in November that Uber had covered up the fact hackers had exposed the data of 57 million users.
