Turkey's Ruling Party Launches April 16 Referendum Campaign in Ankara

Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) launched its campaign in support of the April 16 constitutional referendum with a rally in Ankara on Saturday, February 25.

If passed, the already-divisive referendum would give more power to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan by scrapping the prime minister’s office and allowing him to run for two more terms.
