It's a bumper Christmas at BBC iPlayer as there will be a record number of boxsets available, with over 1,000 titles to watch.

From the year's best TV to classic favourites, there's something for everyone to enjoy including some TV highlights set to air for the first time over the festive season.

Look out for drama series A Very British Scandal starring Claire Foy and Paul Bettany as the Duke and Duchess of Argyll, and psychological thriller The Girl Before, starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw and David Oyelowo, about a woman who moves into a strange house designed by an enigmatic architect.

There is also a brand new adaptation of Jules Verne’s classic novel Around the World in 80 Days starring David Tennant, and Jamie Dornan stars in The Tourist as a man searching for his identity through the vast and unforgiving Australian outback, both of which will be available in the new year.

Family favourites to watch include new Julia Donaldson adaptation Superworm, as well as other classic titles from the author that have featured at Christmas such as The Gruffalo, The Highway Rat and Zog and the Flying Doctors.

Viewers can also settle down with plenty if comedy boxsets, from recent series The Outlaws to classic sitcoms such as The Office.

Films available on iPlayer over the Christmas period will include Frozen, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Spider-Man: Homecoming, A Star is Born and Judy.
