It’s another big week on the box with BBC One’s smash hit Call the Midwife back for a new series, Channel 4 launching a new comedy and a sumptuous World War I drama, too.

DEADLINE GALLIPOLI

Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 January, 9pm, Drama Channel

An epic two-night event set in World War I, Deadline Gallipoli is an Australian production starring a who’s who of stars such as Sam Worthington, Charles Dance and Hugh Dancy.

CALL THE MIDWIFE

Sunday 17 January, 8pm, BBC One
