Two men charged with robbery 'after holding knife to baby's throat during home raid'

Police have charged two men after a knife was allegedly held to a baby’s throat when robbers “stormed” a house in Coventry.

West Midlands Police said demands were made for cash by offenders armed with a craft knife during the raid on a home in the Stoke area of the city on Monday.

Officers said cash and jewellery were stolen from the property.

Joshua Juggan and Malik Ragnatt, both from London, are set to appear before Coventry magistrates on Wednesday.

Juggan, 24, from Alvey Street in Southwark and 21-year-old Ragnatt, from Bensham Lane, Croydon, were arrested by armed police from a vehicle stopped on the M40 at 7.50pm on Monday and were charged with robbery on Tuesday night.

Two children, aged three and 10 months, were in the house at the time along with two women but no-one was hurt, police said.

West Midlands Police detectives are investigating the robbery and are appealing for anyone with information to get in touch.
