Two men in hospital after stabbing and shooting attacks in London

Two young men were taken to hospital in the capital over the weekend after seperate shooting and stabbing attacks across the capital.

One of the victims was left fighting for life after being knifed in West Ham in east London.

Police were called to an address on Stratford Road where they found a man in his 20s with stab wounds.

London Ambulance Service workers tended to the man's injuries and he was taken to a hospital in east London.

Scotland Yard said that he remains in a "critical but stable" condition.

It came after a shooting in Peckham, south London on Saturday evening.

A boy in his late teens was shot on Friary Road.He was taken to hospital, but his injuries were assessed as "not life-threatening".
