Two bus stops in Teesside have been temporarily closed until October, for roadworks to install a new water main.

On Leven Bank Road, Yarm, the Woodside Stand A and B bus stops are suspended until Friday, October 18.

Connect Tees Valley has advised that temporary traffic signals will be in place in the area, as work is carried out to excavate and install a new water main.

During this period, passengers that get the Stagecoach 6 service have been advised to use the stops on either side of the works, at Leven Bridge Stands A and B in Leven Bank Road, Low Leven, and Spell Close Stands A and B in Glaisdale Road, Yarm.

Connect Tees Valley said: "Please note that, owing to the progression of the works along Leven Bank Road, each bus stop is unlikely to be suspended for the full period from June to October, and one or both of the stops may be available for use when the traffic signals are a safe distance away."
