An initial fight date in December fell through when Fury, 8-0-0 as a professional, pulled out with a chest infection and a broken rib, leading to Paul fighting, and beating, Tyron Woodley for a second time.
The rivals are now set to face each other, with the bout scheduled for August 6 at Madison Square Garden, though Paul recently took to social media to claim the former Love Island star was withdrawing again.
Fury insisted that was not the case and should the fight take place as expected, there is plenty of confidence in his camp that he will get the job done against Paul, who is yet to face a boxer in his professional career.
“I’m backing Tommy and I will put my money where my mouth is - I have got £100,000 with anybody,” Tyson Fury told iFLTV.
“I’ll put it on Tommy and that’s it, that’s how I feel about it. If Tommy Fury can’t win against Jake Paul he has no right in being a fighter.”
He added: “I think Tommy knocks him out and he has got to believe in himself and go over there and put on a show. He has to enjoy it as he’s getting paid a lot of money to fight a guy who hasn’t fought on an actual boxer.”
