Gameweek five of the 2017-18 Champions League season is now over, with Tottenham, Liverpool, Manchester United, Man City and Chelsea all in action.

Spurs were already through to the last 16 ahead of their game against Borussia Dortmund in Germany, and confirmed top spot in Group H after sealing a 2-1 comeback win over BVB on Tuesday.

Liverpool squandered a three-goal lead in Seville as Sevilla fought back to draw 3-3, while Manchester City kept their perfect Champions League record with a 1-0 win over Feyenoord - their 17th consecutive victory in all competitions.

Wednesday night's action saw Chelsea secure progress to the last-16 with a 4-0 win over Qarabag in Baku, while Basel shocked Manchester United with a late 1-0 win in Group A.

Manchester United still have a little work to do to ensure they will qualify after losing 1-0 at Basel.

Michael Lang's 89th-minute winner in Switzerland lifted Basel up to second place in Group A ahead of CSKA Moscow on goal difference.

Earlier in the day, a strike from Georgi Schennikov and a Vieira Jardel own goal gave CSKA a 2-0 home win over Benfica.

CSKA goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev, it marked the end of an 11-year wait for a clean sheet in the Champions League proper.

Paris Saint-Germain underlined their dominance of Group B with a 7-1 thrashing of Celtic in the French capital to make it five wins from five matches.

The Scottish champions shocked most inside the Parc des Princes by taking the lead in the first minute through Moussa Dembele's strike, but that was as good as it got for the visitors.

Neymar and Edinson Cavani each scored twice while Kylian Mbappe, Marco Verratti and Dani Alves also got their names on the score-sheet for the tournament favourites.

Bayern Munich will finish behind PSG after winning 2-1 at Anderlecht. Robert Lewandowski and Corentin Tolisso scored for the Bundesliga side either side of Sofiane Hanni's equaliser.

Willian scored twice and was fouled for two penalties as Chelsea cruised into the knockout stages with a 4-0 win over 10-man Qarabag at the Olympic Stadium in Baku.

Two spot-kicks and a first half red card for Qarabag captain Rashad Sadygov helped Chelsea towards a third win from five Group C games to qualify ahead of December's home clash with Atletico Madrid.

Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas converted from the spot, while Willian marked his 200th Blues appearance with two sublime goals.

Chelsea have now reached the last-16 in 14 of their last 15 attempts, while Antoine Griezmann's "phenomenal" goal kept Atletico Madrid's hopes alive as they grabbed a vital 2-0 victory over Roma.

The France international crashed in a 69th-minute overhead kick to inspire a crucial 2-0 win over the Italians at the Wanda Metropolitano stadium.

Kevin Gameiro added a late second after Bruno Peres was sent off for Roma, to take Atletico's fight to qualify to the final game with their first win in Group C.

The second qualifying spot remains up for grabs in Group D after Sporting Lisbon moved within a point of second-placed Juventus courtesy of a 3-1 home win against Olympiacos.

Bas Dost scored either side of a goal from Bruno Cesar for Sporting, with Vadis Odjidja netting a late consolation.

Juventus contested a goalless draw with Barcelona, who arrived in Turin already assured of their place in the knockout stages and who began the match with Lionel Messi on the bench.

Sevilla recovered after conceding three goals in the first 30 minutes against Liverpool, salvaging a 3-3 draw with an injury-time equaliser by Guido Pizarro.

Roberto Firmino scored twice and set up Sadio Mane's goal in the first half-hour, before the hosts rallied with a pair of goals by Wissam Ben Yedder in the second half and Pizarro's late equalizer off a corner kick.

Liverpool could have secured their return to the knockout stages after an eight-year absence, but now head into the final gameweek only one point in front of Sevilla.

Spartak Moscow, who were held by last-place Maribor to a 1-1 draw in Russia, are three points behind the English club.

Sevilla play their final game at already-eliminated Maribor, while Liverpool host Spartak.

Raheem Sterling chipped in a late winner as Man City overcame an uncharacteristically sloppy display to beat Feyenoord 1-0 and clinch top spot on Tuesday.

With Napoli beating second-place Shakhtar 3-0, City would have already been assured of first place heading into the final round of matches in Group F.

Sterling ran onto Ilkay Gundogan's through-ball and dinked a finish over Feyenoord goalkeeper Brad Jones in the 88th minute, a rare moment of class on a night when a weakened City line-up struggled for fluency.

It was City's fifth straight win in the group and Pep Guardiola's team, who hold an eight-point lead in the Premier League, remain unbeaten in all competitions this season.

RB Leipzig sent Monaco crashing out of the Champions League with a 4-1 victory, capitalising on a comedy of errors in a first-half horror show from last season's semi-finalists.

With Monaco eliminated, Leipzig and Porto will fight for the last qualifying spot in Group G in the final round of group-stage matches.

Besiktas, who drew Porto with 1-1 on Tuesday, have already advanced to the last-16 top of the group.

Tottenham came from behind to beat Borussia Dortmund 2-1 and book their place in the last 16 as group winners ahead of Real Madrid.

Harry Kane and Heung-min Son cancelled out Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's strike for Dortmund to keep Spurs on top of Group H, with Madrid three points behind.

With one round remaining, the defending champions cannot catch the Premier League side on account of their inferior head-to-head record, despite a 6-0 rout of APOEL Nicosia in Cyprus.

Tottenham drew with the Spanish champion in Madrid, and won the reverse fixture 3-1 at Wembley.
