Champions League football is almost back with the group stage draw for Europe’s premier club competition just around the corner.

While Chelsea and Arsenal are set for stints in the Europa League, the Premier League will have four representatives in the competition this year including last year’s runners up Liverpool.

Having dominated English football last season, Manchester City are once again out to replicate that success on the European stage.

Manchester United meanwhile have not made it passed the quarter-final stages in this competition in seven years after a chastening last 16 exit to Sevilla last year.

Tottenham are London’s sole representative in the competition this season – although it remains to be seen where the club will play their group games following constriction delays at their new ground.

Standard Sport will be bringing you live coverage of the group stages.

When and where is the draw?

The group stage draw will take place in Monaco on Thursday 30 August. Uefa are still to confirm a start time but the ceremony has traditionally kicked off at 5pm BST.
