The movie follows Tashi, a former tennis prodigy-turned-coach who trains her husband, Art, to be a worldwide champion. But, he soon has to compete against his former best friend and Tashi’s ex-boyfriend, Patrick.

The film was released on 26th April, and we couldn't help but notice a subtle nod to Zendaya's boyfriend, Tom, and his iconic role as Spider-Man. So, here's everything you need to know about it.

The film stars Zendaya alongside Josh O'Connor and Mike Faist, and sees her play a tennis player turned coach who transforms her husband, Art, from a mediocre player into a world-famous grand slam champion.

But, to jolt him out of his recent losing streak, she makes him play a low-level challenger, where he finds himself standing across the net from his former best friend and Tashi's former boyfriend, Patrick.

In one of the first scenes of the film, we're introduced to Tashi and Art's daughter, Lily, and we see the little girl mention a certain superhero that audiences recognised as a reference to Tom.

She asks her parents if she can watch Spider-Verse, and of course, Tom played Spider-Man alongside Zendaya, who played Michelle. Then, the actors fell in love on set and the rest was history!

But, it could also be a reference to the animated-version of the superhero story, voiced by Shameik Moore. Either way, we're pretty sure Zendaya had something to do with the subtle nod to her boyfriend's most famous role. Too cute!
