Urgent alert as schoolgirls missing for days may be in Birmingham

Members of the public have been asked to dial 999 if they spot two missing teen girls, who could be in Birmingham. Police are getting increasingly concerned for Abbie, 15, and Grace, 12, who could have travelled to Birmingham from Sussex.

They were last spotted in Worthing on Friday morning, and it is believed they may have taken public transport to the West Midlands. CCTV images of the pair have been released, and detailed descriptions of what they were wearing when they were last seen.

Anyone who sees them or knows their whereabouts is urged to call 999. Birmingham Police also shared the update from Sussex Police on their Facebook page on Sunday morning.

A Sussex Police spokesperson said on Sunday: "We are still concerned for Abbie, aged 15, and Grace, aged 12, who have been reported missing together from Worthing.

"They were last seen in the town at around 8am on Friday, 24 May. Officers are concerned for their welfare, and believe they may have taken public transport, possibly to travel to Birmingham.

"Abbie is 5'7" of large build with brown curly hair. Grace is 5'7" of slight build with straight dark brown hair and glasses. Abbie was wearing a black t-shirt, black leggings, pink Nike air force trainers, Nike socks and a shoulder bag.

"Grace Is believed to be wearing grey jogging bottoms, a light brown zip up hoodie, a white vest top, white trainers and a big light beige handbag. She also wears glasses.

"New images have been released of them at Goring Train Station on 24 May." BirminghamLive contacted Sussex Police who confirmed the teens are still missing and advised people to keep an eye on their Facebook page for further updates.
