US broadcasters are splashing the cash to secure vantage points of the Royal wedding

American media companies are reportedly offering six-figure sums to residents and businesses in Windsor for a prime view of the Royal wedding.

The wedding of Prince Harry to Meghan Markle is undoubtedly one of the prime-time events of the year, with media organisations vying for the best vantage points for every moment of the big day.

That includes catching a glimpse of the couple before and after their wedding ceremony at St George’s Chapel in Windsor.

According to BBC London, one pub in Windsor is charging a six-figure sum for media organisations wanting to use its premises.

She added: “So I called them straight away and they were here within 30 minutes. I felt like they were probably in the hotel opposite waiting for us.”

Some reports suggest that two rooms above The Horse and Groom pub, opposite the Windsor Castle’s walls, are being rented out for £15,000 a night with NBC News apparently renting a floor of the Carpenters Arms for a rumoured £30,000.
