V Festival has issued a warning about an "extremely dangerous drug" which has been found on its site.

The Mirror reports that festival staff have seized and tested a drug called Pentylone and N-Ethylpentylone, which they suspect is being sold as MDMA.

However, the drug is actually a different substance.

Although it has been going around recently, it has very dangerous side-effects.

The substance is likely to cause nausea, vomiting, hypothermia, an increased heart rate, inability to sleep and agitation.

A spokesperson for V Festival said: "Please look after each other and seek help if you feel unwell or you think you know someone who may have taken this substance."

They added that anyone who has bought a drug matching this description should seek immediate medical attention.

V Festival will take place at Hylands Park in Chelmsford and Weston Park in Staffordshire over the weekend (August 19 and 20).

JAY Z and Pink are headlining this year's festival, alternating the main stage at each venue over the weekend.

Also playing are Ellie Goulding, Jason Derulo, Craig David, Rudimental, Jess Glynne and Clean Bandit.

A set by Stormzy at Chelmsford is quite likely to include a little support from Love Island's Kem Cetinay and Chris Hughes, after they hinted that they'd be taking to the stage with the rapper.
