You’ve got to be kitten me?! Watch: the moment this stray cat darts across a 100m finish line

Runners taking part in the men’s 100m race at the Balkan U20 Men’s Athletics Championship in Istanbul, Turkey, received quite the shock as a stray cat sprinted across the finish line of the race.

The surprise feline competitor can be seen running across the line, narrowly missing what could have been an awful collision as the runners sprinted towards it.

Since the footage made it onto the internet, the cat has become somewhat of an internet sensation, with one Twitter user writing ‘lost it by a whisker’.

The race was won by the Turkish athlete Umut Uysal. As the cat clearly crossed multiple lanes, we can only imagine it was disqualified.
