I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! contestant Vernon Kay demonstrated offal determination as he swallowed sheep brain, cow's teat and deer testicles in the latest task.

The 46-year-old TV presenter joined ex Corrie star Beverley Callard and Radio 1 DJ Jordan North to take part in Frights of The Round Table and win meals for their fellow campmates.

Kay was challenged with eating half a sheep brain and a cow’s teat, which he described as tasting like “mouldy cheese mixed with burnt tyre rubber, the weirdest things I’ve ever eaten in my life.”

When faced with chomping on deer’s testicle that squirted as he chewed, Kay struggled to swallow the food and had to spit it into a bucket.

But the Family Fortunes presenter was determined not to let his fellow celebrities down and so asked hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly for another chance.

Kay gagged repeatedly but North cheered him on and he managed to swallow it.

He said: “It was tough, it was horrible and I think it was pretty evident what came out of it when it was in my mouth...”
