Victoria Beckham unveils latest collection for more affordable VVB line

Victoria Beckham was keen to court a more youthful audience this week as she unveiled her latest collection for more affordable diffusion line Victoria Victoria Beckham (also known as VVB).

Eschewing the fanfare of a catwalk show in favour of an intimate presentation at Mayfair's Marks Club, the pop star turned designer went big on pink for next spring with relaxed pinstripe shirts and pyjama suiting in the millennial hue.

"It's empowering," said Beckham at the showcase. "Pink is very feminine but in the right, not-too-sugary shade it can feel cool and modern as well."

Beckham, who is always the first to acknowledge that her collections are an amalgamation of the clothes she likes to wear, also drew inspiration from her own increasingly bright approach to getting dressed, adding; "I'm enjoying wearing more colour. You can't help but smile when you do."

Flamingo embroidery on the back of white denim jackets and a bold "Liechtenstein style" pop art print, which featured on silk blouson shirts and bucket hats, rounded off the 1980's Miami inspired offering, along with a host of Beckham signatures including a pair of slim-fit martini flare jeans and a perfect white t-shirt.
