Church Bells Ring Out Muffled as Remembrance Sunday Is Marked

Church bells were muffled across the UK and the British Commonwealth on Sunday, November 8, as Remembrance Sunday was marked.

Remembrance Sunday aims to commemorate the contribution of British and Commonwealth military and civilian servicemen and women in the two World Wars and later conflicts. Services were held, two minutes of silence were observed at 11am, and church bells rang out half-muffled.
