Clashes With Riot Police Erupt at Athens 'No' Protest

Protestors on both the ‘Yes’ and ‘No’ side of Sunday’s referendum in Greece came out in force across Athens on Friday, July 3. The referendum will consider whether or not to accept the terms of Greece’s creditors and will affect its future loan eligibility. Thousands of anti-austerity protesters converged on Syntagma Square, outside the Greek parliament, with reports of pockets of unrest between protesters and riot police.
