Confederate Flag Supporters Hold Pride Rally in Florida

Hundreds of supporters of the Confederate flag rallied on the roads of Marion County, Florida, on Sunday, July 12, waving the flag as they drove past. The event came the day after a protester removed the Confederate flag from the county’s governmental building. That evening a city employee removed a French flag, which stood beside the Spanish, British and American flag, and put up the Confederate flag, according to News 13.

Sunday’s rally was organized by Florida Southern Pride Ride. This video shows participants gathered at Southeastern Livestock Pavilion in Ocala, where the rally began. Credit: Instagram/brandonpovia
