Mexico's Colima Volcano Spews Ash Almost 2km High

Mexico’s most active volcano, the Colima Volcano, continued to erupt on August 6, spitting fire and spewing ash into the sky. According to a report from Mexican news outlet Excelsior, the ash was shot 2 km (1.25 miles) high.

The local populace to the west of the volcano was warned of the potential for a fall of ash. Luis Felipe Puente, the National Coordinator of Civil Protection in the Ministry of the Interior, tweeted a warning to locals that ash may fall. Credit: YouTube/webcamsdemexico
