Oregon Hay Truck Fire Triggers Brush Fire

A truck carrying bales of hay erupted in flames, which then caught the surrounding brush on fire, on July 13 in McMinnville, Oregon. Smoke from the fire could be seen from a nearby highway, and it took firefighters 90 minutes to contain the blaze, according to local media.

There has been an uptick in brush, vegetation and wildfires in the western portion of the United States in 2015, including California and Alaska. The vast majority of Oregon has been declared under a drought.
