Protesters Set Fires in Athens Neighborhood Iconic to Anti-Government Protests

Riot police under decree from Greece’s government to exercise restraint sought to keep a lid on a fiery protest April 7 in the Exarchia neighborhood of Athens, known for its active anarchist movement. Last week, Greek anarchists stormed the country’s parliament, occupied the headquarters of the dominant Syriza party, and seized a radio station. The anarchists are seeking repeal of anti-terrorism laws and release of jailed revolutionaries. Credit: YouTube/Menacius Milopoulos
