Spacecraft Launches With New Supplies and Research Equipment for ISS Crew

The Orbital ATK CRS-6 Cygnus spacecraft lifted off from Florida’s Cape Canaveral Air Force Station at 11:05 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, March 22. The space freighter is carrying nearly 7,500 pounds of supplies, hardware and science gear – such as a 3-D printer, robotic grippers and a fire experiment – to the Expedition 47 crew at the International Space Station. Cygnus will also allow the study of the chemistry of meteor showers. Credit: YouTube/NASAKennedy
