US and Australian Soldiers Simulate Nighttime Battle

Australian and US Special Forces soldiers participated in a a mock nighttime battle against a hypothetical enemy at Hidden Valley Raceway in Darwin on Monday, July 13. Around 150 soldiers were inserted and extracted by Blackhawk helicopters to conduct direct action in real life battle simulations against enemies located in various positions within the complex.

The training exercise was part of Exercise Talisman Sabre 2015 (TS15), taking place in Australia’s Northern Territory throughout July.
