The 2024 GMC Acadia arrives with a boxier design and bigger dimensions that translate to more cargo and passenger space inside. Along with a fancier interior that includes a big portrait-style touchscreen, the third generation of GMC's three-row mid-size SUV has a new powertrain.
The new Acadia is bigger than before. It is nearly 11 inches longer and stands up to 5.3 inches taller.
The exterior's growth spurt is paired with an extra 8.4 inches between its axles. At 120.9 inches, the Acadia has the same wheelbase as the full-size GMC Yukon.
Every Acadia is powered by a 328-hp turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder. An eight-speed automatic transmission pairs with front- or all-wheel drive.
The Denali is the fanciest model, as seen by its shiny grille and optional 22-inch wheels (the biggest ever worn by an Acadia).
The AT4 has a rugged appearance and off-road-oriented hardware. Along with an elevated ride height, it has an exclusive torque-vectoring rear differential and all-terrain tires.
The interior design is more modern, with materials that are nicer than before but still not at luxury levels.
Every Acadia has an 11.0-inch digital gauge cluster and a vertically oriented 15.0-inch touchscreen.
The Denali's interior is also the most deluxe. Along with standard leather-appointed seats and a 12-speaker Bose stereo, a huge panoramic sunroof and a 16-speaker setup are available.
All Acadias are solely offered in a seven-seat configuration.
With a starting price of $43,995, the latest Acadia costs $5800 more than last year's model. The off-road-oriented all-wheel-drive-only AT4 and near-luxury Denali trims return, wearing base prices of $51,395 and $55,695.
