A man stole an elderly woman's bank card and withdrew money at a supermarket in South Gloucestershire, police have said. Officers are searching for a man who they believe has relevant information about the crime in Hanham.

The victim's card was stolen at around 3.10pm on Wednesday, February 7 by a man, Avon and Somerset Police said. He then went on to use it to withdraw cash at Sainsbury's in Nags Head Hilll.

PC Elaine Knight said: “The theft has had a significant impact on the victim, who is vulnerable, and we are working hard to identify the person responsible. As part of our investigation we want to speak to the pictured man and would urge him – or anyone who knows who he is – to come forward.”
