Yahoo News The Walking Dead drops teaser clip of Daryl Dixon spin-off
The Walking Dead has dropped another teaser trailer for upcoming spin-off series The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.
The show, which sees Norman Reedus reprise his role as the titular character, follows Daryl as he travels through post-apocalyptic France after finding himself washed ashore in the country.
In the brief clip we see the character travelling up the river Seine through a desolate Paris, passing a crumbling Eiffel Tower along the way.
"My name's Daryl Dixon. If I don't make it back, I want to know I tried," he says, hinting at Daryl's long and difficult journey to get home.

Alongside Reedus, Clémence Poésy, Adam Nagaitis, Anne Charrier and Eriq Ebouaney will all be joining the show while Melissa McBride is also returning as Carol Peletier. The series is set to premiere on AMC on September 10.
Director Greg Nicotero recently explained how the spin-off will differ from the main series, telling Entertainment Weekly we will see Reedus' character explore completely new worlds and villains.
"This is probably the closest to a standalone show you will ever get. The goal isn't just to see Daryl in exotic and new locations, but to explore a wholly different world," he explained.

"This is definitely not more of the same. Our show introduces new characters, new themes, and is an exciting extension of the genre that will delight people who love this kind of storytelling and crave more."
Daryl Dixon isn't the only spin-off to premiere since the conclusion of the main series, with Dead City currently airing and a standalone show for Rick and Michonne Grimes also on the way.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon will premiere on AMC on September 10.
