Warrington town centre 'gridlocked' ahead of bank holiday weekend

THERE is heavy traffic throughout the town centre this afternoon, Friday, ahead of the bank holiday weekend.

Some areas are ‘gridlocked’, say drivers.

And long queues have been reported on a number of roads throughout the afternoon.

Currently, Mersey Street, Wilson Patten Street, Bridge Foot, Midland Way, and Lithgoes Lane are experiencing heavy traffic.

Traffic is also slow on Church Street, Wilderspool Causeway, and Liverpool Road.
