Washing machine, boxing gloves and suitcase dumped in bank holiday fly tipping

Bank holiday fly tipping saw a washing machine, suitcase and boxing gloves dumped on an Oxfordshire walkway.

The incident occurred over the bank holiday weekend and saw a variety of items left in the public along the B4000 between Shrivenham and Ashbury.

Amongst the rubbish was a washing machine, suitcase and shelving unit while other oddities such as boxing gloves and a miniature wheelbarrow could also be seen in the pile.

The Vale of White Horse District Council were unimpressed with the fly tipping incident and took to social media to share photographs of the rubbish pile along with details of the incident.

A spokesperson for the council said: “Over the bank holiday weekend, someone dumped this awful mess on the public byway along the B4000 between Shrivenham and Ashbury.
