Aouachria then made the move to the League of Ireland in July 2022 when he joined Waterford FC. The following summer he moved to Galway United.

He played a major part in Galway’s successful promotion push in the 2023 season. He has scored eight goals in 27 appearances for the club in total, and played nine games this season.

What they said...

Glentoran boss Declan Devine told www.glentoran.com: “Wassim is a player I’ve known since he came to the League of Ireland a couple of years ago and a player I’ve found very difficult to set a defence up against. He will offer us different attributes to those already at the club. Wassim is still at an age where we feel he has the qualities to have a wonderful future ahead of him and we’re delighted he’s committed to Glentoran.”

Galway United said: "Galway United can confirm that Wassim Aouachria has departed the club. We would like to thank Wassim for his commitment and wish him the best of luck in the future."
