Wayne and Coleen Rooney to 'renew wedding vows'

They underwent some tough times earlier this year, but Wayne and Coleen Rooney are said to be set to renew their wedding vows next summer.

Wayne was caught drink-driving in party girl Laura Simpson’s car in September, and afterwards she was quoted as saying they enjoyed a “kiss and a cuddle” but later went on to deny she’d said such a thing.

But a source has now told The Sun that Wayne “utterly regrets” the infamous incident, and Coleen has forgiven him “deep down”.

The source added to the publication: “To say it’s been a rough ride for both of them in recent months is an understatement.

“But we’ve been told they plan to renew their wedding vows next summer – maybe in Barbados.”

Everton footballer Wayne is said to be “relieved” to have another chance with his wife, who he shares three kids, Kai, eight, Klay, four, and 21-month-old Kit, with.

While his former England team-mates will be trying to avoid another major tournament embarrassment at the World Cup in Russia next summer, he looks set to be re-affirming his love for Coleen in what will be their 10th anniversary year.

In September, it was reported Coleen was not happy with Wayne and was also left unimpressed at Laura’s appearance on This Morning.

A source The Sun at the time: “Coleen has been furious at Wayne.

“But the more she learns, the more sympathetic she is to Wayne’s version of events.

“She wasn’t impressed with Laura’s TV appearance.

“The girl’s story just keeps changing, while Wayne’s remains the same.”

During her appearance on This Morning, Laura denied she had ever said she and Wayne enjoyed a “kiss and a cuddle” on the infamous night, and that they would have slept together had the pair not been stopped by the police.

She said: “I never said that. For one I had a baggy T-shirt on, I’ve not kissed or cuddled him, and if it had happened there would have been a lot of coverage.”
