Chelsea could hand a debut to new goalkeeper Edouard Mendy on Saturday as they travel to West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League.

Frank Lampard could begin the real restructuring of his team’s foundation by playing both Mendy and, ahead of him, Thiago Silva in a game they’ll be expected to win.

West Brom have struggled so far, failing to take a point from their opening two matches and losing on penalties to Brentford in the EFL Cup in midweek.

Slaven Bilic was fined by the FA this week but faces no suspension, so will be on the touchline alongside Lampard.

Prediction

The Baggies look bereft of confidence and quality for the highest level. Even without firing on all cylinders, Chelsea should have more than enough to break them down if they remain patient. West Brom 0-3 Chelsea
