West Ham to unveil Lukasz Fabianski and Issa Diop double transfer

West Ham will confirm the signings of goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski and central defender Issa Diop within the next 24 hours.

The club, who have already signed Fulham full-back Ryan Fredericks on a free transfer, have agreed a £7million, three-year contract with Swansea for Fabianski but will delay confirmation of the deal until tomorrow since the 33-year-old former Arsenal keeper is in the Poland squad facing Senegal today.

Diop underwent a medical in London yesterday and was due to complete a £22m move from French Ligue 1 club Toulouse.

Everton and Sevilla are among the clubs who have shown an interest in 6ft 4ins Diop, 21, but West Ham who, under new manager Manuel Pellegrini, look eager to do the bulk of their business early, have moved quickly.

West Ham are also interested in Fabianski’s Swansea team-mate, central defender Alfie Mawson.

The bid to sign Brazilian midfielder Felipe Anderson from Lazio has stalled. West Ham have offered £30.5m for the 25-year-old but Lazio, who have to pay 25 per cent of any transfer fee to the player’s former club Santos, want £42m.
