'Piers Morgan Uncensored', 'Noughts + Crosses', 'Ozark': What to watch on TV this week, 25 April - 1 May

Brand new channel TalkTV launches this week with the return of Piers Morgan, who'll be kicking off his interview show Uncensored with a controversial Donald Trump chat.

We'll also see the return of shows including Noughts + Crosses, The Great British Sewing Bee and Grace, while MasterChef hits the semi-finals.

Married At First Sight Australia finally draws to a close, Torvill and Dean are researching their family histories in DNA Journey, and Ross Kemp is on the hunt for Michael Jackson's former menagerie in Searching for Michael Jackson's Zoo.

Monday

Rupert Murdoch's new TV channel launches tonight at 7pm and his star signing Piers Morgan is the much-anticipated highlight of its debut.

Uncensored sees an explosive chat between Morgan and Donald Trump - although whether anyone stormed out of the interview is still up in the air after a dispute over the trailer.

They aren't the only controversial people to be appearing on the channel, as the regular schedule will also see Jeremy Kyle make a TV return.

It's been another mammoth series of MAFSA and even during the final episode, there are still plenty of dramatic revelations.

Will Dom and Jack realise they're perfect for each other? Will Olivia finally get her comeuppance? Does the footage shown at the reunion change anything for the contestants? And who breaks up on the final couch?

Tuesday

ITV's version of Who Do You Think You Are? continues with another famous pair of ancestry hunters - this time it's the turn of Torvill and Dean.

The Olympic skaters have lived most of their lives side by side, and now they're discovering their family histories in each other's company, too.

MasterChef - BBC One - 8pm

Semi-finals begin tonight as the best cooks from the audition weeks return to find the heat has gone up in the kitchen.

There are some promising amateur chefs in this year's contest and tonight they'll be playing restaurants as the studio becomes a professional kitchen, before Friday's show offers a challenge inspired by MasterChef-themed hit, Buttery Biscuit Bass.

Wednesday

A challenge show favourite returns with a new series of The Great British Sewing Bee, hosted by Sara Pascoe.

We're expecting any number of keen sewers who've been honing their skills during recent lockdowns - but will any of them be able to stitch together a new career?

We return to Malorie Blackman's world for series two of the TV adaptation of her novels which drew huge acclaim in its first series.

Callum and Sephy believe they've found a safe haven in the woods, but soon realise that their only option is to leave Albion for good and plan a return to London to pack up their supplies.

Searching for Michael Jackson's Zoo with Ross Kemp - ITV - 9pm

Ross Kemp is trying to track down the former residents of the Neverland ranch menagerie in this documentary.

Chimps, giraffes and elephants were sold off after Michael Jackson's death and Kemp is searching for where they ended up - as well as investigating what sort of life they had with the singer.

Thursday

Countryfile presenter Julia Bradbury had a shock breast cancer diagnosis last year that has seen her undergo a mastectomy and reconstruction in her treatment.

Here, she charts the journey she has been on from the earliest days of finding out she had cancer, through continuing life as a mum of three during treatment, to her more hopeful recent weeks.

Friday

Ozark - Netflix

It's one of the most eagerly-awaited new launches on Netflix - the second and final part of the last ever series of Ozark.

Earlier this year, we left the series midpoint heading for almost certain disaster as Ruth went on the rampage looking for the drug dealers who'd murdered her cousin, Wyatt, as well as levelling much of the blame at the Byrdes.

Starring Jason Bateman, Laura Linney and Julia Garner.

Saturday

Britain's Got Talent - ITV - 8pm

The welcome return of the TV talent show continues with Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and David Walliams searching the UK for the best variety acts.

Expect more singers, dance troupes, magicians and dog acts for perfect weekend family viewing.

Sunday

John Simm returns for the second series of this Brighton-set detective drama which takes over Sunday evening prime time with two-hour episodes.

In the first episode, a socialite and charity patron is murdered and Grace looks into the possible suspects, who include her husband at the top of the list.
