Culture’s Biggest Night returns to Los Angeles. Taraji P. Henson will host the 2024 BET Awards, which airs live this Sunday, June 30, from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.
The 24th annual ceremony airs on the BET channel at 8 p.m. ET and PT, and simulcasts on Comedy Central, Logo, MTV, MTV2, Nickelodeon, Pop, TVLand and VH1. Viewers still have time to cast their ballots for the Viewer’s Choice Award through 6:30 p.m. PT on June 30.

The 24th annual ceremony will feature Amazon super shopper Megan Thee Stallion as the opening act, Will Smith will also perform a new song and Donald Glover will revive his music alter ego, Childish Gambino. Other performers include Chlöe, Coco Jones, Keke Palmer, Marsha Ambrosius, Summer Walker, GloRilla, Ice Spice, Latto, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Muni Long, Sexyy Red, Shaboozey, Tanner Adell, Tyla, Victoria Monét and YG Marley. Usher will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Drake leads the BET Awards nominees with a total of seven nods, including best male hip-hop artist — a category in which he’ll compete with rival rapper Kendrick Lamar. Nicki Minaj follows with six nominations; see the full list of nominees here.
In conjunction with the awards, BETX 2024 Fan Fest, a free, all-ages two-day cultural festival, will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center on June 28 and 29.
