Wildfire Burns 7,700 Acres and Forces Evacuations in Lake County, California

A wind-driven wildfire in Lake County, California, had scorched 7,700 acres of land by the evening of Sunday, June 24, and forced mandatory evacuations across the county, Cal Fire said.

The wildfire, dubbed the Pawnee Fire, which began on June 23, northeast of Clearlake Oaks, burned at least a dozen structures and was threatening 600 more.
