Wincanton nursing home group wins 'Specialist Care Provider of the Year'

A WINCANTON healthcare group has been named ‘Specialist Care Provider of the Year' at the 2024 Health Investor Awards.

Cornerstone Healthcare Group, who opened the £10million Cale View nursing home in Wincanton earlier this year, received the award for the second year running.

Cornerstone Healthcare's 74-bed service, Cale View, is the group's fourth service, delivering "excellence in health and social care".

Cale View is the fourth service opened by Cornerstone Healthcare, with 74-beds.

Plans for Cale View, which has now been completed.

The Health Investor Awards recognise the achievements of well-deserved social care sectors.

The Health Investor judges commented they were “impressed" by Cornerstone’s "investment in staff, commitment to constant training for every member of the team and track record of having no placement fails."

They admired that the group "has a real focus on delivering successful outcomes for people who have experienced placement breakdown in other settings”.

Cornerstone Healthcare Group is now working on launching its fifth and sixth services in Bristol in 2025 and Birmingham in 2026.
