Woman in 30s found dead at home

A WOMAN in her 30s was found dead at her home.

Police officers and forensics crime scene investigators were at a home in Damory Street in Blandford on Wednesday afternoon, April 17.

Witnesses said they saw a police cordon outside the home for much of the day while crime scene investigators (CSIs) carried out enquiries. A police officer was stationed outside.

It was later established that the death is not suspicious and officers have made the coroner aware.

A spokeswoman for the force said: "Dorset Police received a report at 12.19pm on Wednesday 17 April 2024 of the sudden death of a woman aged in her 30s at an address in Damory Street in Blandford.

"Officers attended with the ambulance service. The death is not being treated as suspicious and the coroner has been notified.

"The woman’s family are aware and our thoughts are with them at this difficult time."
