Watch: Woman brazenly throws herself in front of security van in ‘cash for crash’ insurance scam

This is the brazen moment a woman threw herself in front of a moving van in an apparent insurance scam.

The dramatic incident was caught on the dashboard camera of the security van the woman threw herself under.

Footage shows the young lady calmly standing on the side of the road in the town of Klin, Russia, until she suddenly rushes towards the vehicle.

She appears to try and jump on the vehicle’s bonnet – even though by the time she collides with the van it has almost come to a complete stop.

The woman collapses onto the ground and one of the security workers gets out of the van to see if she is okay.

The driver and his pals inside the vehicle could loudly heard be saying that the whole thing was a ‘set up’.

The unidentified van driver told reporters that he has the contact details of another driver who witnessed the incident and can back up his story.

Police reportedly have not begun an investigation into the incident and there is no information about the woman’s condition.
