Woman seriously injured after being hit by truck in Stechford

A woman suffered serious injuries after a collision with a truck. Police said the pedestrian was rushed to hospital after the incident in Stechford.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said she was struck at the junction of Station Road and Lyndon Road, at 9.15am today, Thursday, June 27. An ambulance, paramedic officer, MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic were sent to the scene.

She was treated for serious injuries and taken to Heartlands Hospital for further treatment.

An ambulance spokeswoman told BirminghamLive: "We were called to reports of an RTC at the junction of Station Road and Lyndon Road, in Stechford, at around 9.15am. An ambulance, paramedic officer, MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic were sent to the scene where, on arrival, crews found a truck and a pedestrian had been involved in a collision.

"The pedestrian, a woman, was treated for serious injuries and taken to Heartlands Hospital for further treatment."
