World Cup WAGs celebrate: Harry Maguire’s girlfriend leads praise for players saying she’s ‘proud’ of goal scorer

Harry Maguire’s girlfriend has led praise for the England squad by praising her goal-scorer boyfriend, after saying she was “so proud” of him.

The wives and girlfriends of the team have been supporting the squad every step of the way, and were out in force to cheer on the boys in Saturday’s quarter final.

The England v Sweden game saw Gareth Southgate’s Three Lions win by two goals and has led the country into the first World Cup semi-final in 28 years.

Quick to offer praise, Maguire’s partner, Fern Hawkins posted a picture of the pair, saying: “What an unbelievable feeling! We’re going to the semi-finals!!! I am so proud of you. You amaze me every singly day #itscominghome #worldcup18.”

Also on hand to support was Jamie Vardy’s wife, Rebekah Vardy, who posted a picture of herself and Jordan Pickford’s partner, Megan Davison, Fern Hawkins and Jack Butland’s partner, Annabel Peyton.

She had posted a photo of the whole family in attendance earlier that day.

Ahead of the World Cup, Rebekah had revealed on Loose Women that she had taken the children out of school for the tournament and had hired additional security for the trip.
