Writer Alanna Bennett Signs With CAA (Exclusive)

Screenwriter, journalist and author Alanna Bennett has signed with CAA for representation.

Bennett most recently was a producer and writer on season two of Netflix’s YA dramedy XO, Kitty, which debuted in May 2023. She also served as executive story editor on the series, created by Jenny Han as a spinoff of the streamer’s To All the Boys film trilogy. She’s also a co-producer on the second season of Prime Video’s animated series The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy.

Prior to XO, Kitty, she worked as a story editor on Roswell, New Mexico at The CW and also penned several episodes. As a reporter and cultural critic, Bennett has contributed to The New York TimesNew York MagazineBuzzFeed NewsTeen Vogue and The Ringer, as well as a number of podcasts.

Bennett’s first novel, The Education of Kia Greer — centering on the teenage daughter of a family famous for being on reality TV — is set for publication in 2025 from Knopf.
