They say that cats often look after themselves, and this quick-thinking moggy certainly seems capable of getting around on his own.

The flexible feline is captured in an online video letting himself out of his owner's house by opening five successive doors on his own.

The cat, known as Leon, skillfully leaps on to a door handle before sneaking through the gap.

Leon then repeats the remarkable feat on four other doors, much to his owner Marjan Kirovski's amusement.

Leon's Macedonian owner said the animal was found at a market, and has used his street smart skills to open doors for himself.

The two-minute video of the agile pet has now been viewed over 150,000 times in just three days.
