Sheddy Chic - The Winners Of The 2016 Shed Of The Year Awards
After hours of painstaking deliberation, soul-searching and in-depth discussion, the winner of the 2016 Shed of the Year has finally been announced.
The West Wing, an ultra-high-tech garden cubby hole with three rooms, was crowned the overall winner, defeating a medieval longroom, Star Wars-inspired workspace and a glass-fronted rotating building.
The shed is owned by 42-year-old Kevin Herbert, who has spent eight years perfecting his dream cabin.
He was rewarded with a giant gold crown, commemorative plaque, and a cheque for £1,000 courtesy of awards sponsors Cuprinol.
But the work isn’t over. Kevin admitted that there’s always more to do to his beloved building.
He said: ‘There's always something I've got to do out there. I'll have to make a shelf now to put up my prize.’
