£210k drainage works among public notices to be aware of this week

Drainage works and the closure of a town park are among several important public information notices for communities in Norfolk to be aware of this week.

1) Bunwell drainage works

Bunwell Street in Bunwell will be closed to traffic between its junction with Mile Road and Hall Road to the junction with North Road for up to 11 weeks from July 15.

It is so teams can carry out essential work to improve the drainage system.

The £210,000 work will include the construction of a new drainage system along Bunwell Street to address the flooding issues.

2) Acle Road bridge repairs

The Acle Road bridge in Fleggburgh is to close on Monday to allow for essential bridge repairs to be safely carried out.

The repair work will involve removing damaged fencing and debris, breaking out damaged fencing from the concrete headwall and replacing railings and damaged concrete posts.

A signed diversion route will be in place for the duration of the closure with pedestrian access being maintained at all times.

3) Claims to the estate of Christine Louise Grey

Anyone having a claim against or an interest in the estate of Christine Louise Grey of 103 Hubbard Close, Wymondham, who died on April 4, is asked to send a written notice to the address below on or before August 27.

After this date, the estate will be distributed as per the notices received.

4) The Mia Lucy Rose Memorial Trim Trail

The Mia Lucy Rose Memorial Trim Trail on Gorleston's Lower Esplanade is closed until August.

With the existing exercise equipment removed, a sign has been put up by the park entrance highlighting some of the additions coming to the site.

Gym rings, hyperextension sit-up benches, high and low hurdles, vault bars, parallel bars and plyometric boxes will all be making their way to the park later this summer.

5) Road closures for King's Lynn Festival Too

Roads and car parks are to be restricted on July 5 and July 6, from 6pm until 11.30pm, to allow the festival to go ahead.

Market Place South, Market Place, and Market Place East will all be affected by the restrictions.
